Dr. Irving Silverman Scholarship
Scholarship Information
Dr. Irving Silverman, a classical scholar, was dean of the Division of Humanities and instrumental in bringing cultural concerts to Radford. The College of Visual and Performing Arts was once named the Silverman Fine Arts Center in his honor. This scholarship was created in his memory by his family and friends to assist students majoring in foreign language.
Scholarship Criteria
- Applicant must be a full-time upper-class student majoring in Foreign Language.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Must not be, nor ever have been, on disciplinary probation or suspension from any institution of higher learning.
- Award may be renewable if award recipient maintains a 2.8 GPA.
- Must reapply to be considered.
